Meet Casstastrophe

Jammer
Meet Casstastrophe:

What drew you to roller derby?

I was drawn to roller derby because I thought it would be a sport that I could really excel at and after playing co-ed ( mostly all men and a hand full of women) ice hockey I thought it would be cool to be part of an all female sport of the same caliber.
How has roller derby impacted your life?
Derby has completely taken over my life. I am currently filling the roles of league president and team coach.  When I'm not at practices I'm working on all of the business aspects of running a roller derby league.

What is your favorite aspect of roller derby?
The skating of course, I love to skate.
What is your least favorite aspect of roller derby?
Right now my least favorite part is that we are a small league and are still struggling to get our name out there and get enough support. We are on a constant roller coaster of big highs when we get new skaters and have some successes and low lows when we run into major setbacks.
What are your goals for the team this season?
This season will be our first competing season, and our biggest goal is to be able to host a bout in our own town.  We want to show our community what we are all about and give them the excitement of watching live roller derby.
Besides skating what other things should we know about M*U*D*D?
MUDD is a group of hardworking women in both their personal lives and on the track.

Real name: Cassandra Gauthier
Positions: League President, Team Coach and Jammer
